He's here! My little bundle of joy, Noah arrived on sat 11th Feb 2006 at 12:41pm. My first words when I saw my son were looking loving at my husband..."you've given me a ginger child!"
Labour was not as bad as I expected! Although do remember throwing up on the way to delivery suite! Pity the poor cleaner who got that corridor duty!
Faith has been an angel with Noah she hugs him, (to the point where he almost stops breathing!) kisses him (grabbing his head and turning his lips to hers!) and trys to cover him with blankets even if hes not cold! Bless her! She's the proud big sister! She is still not sure about breast feeding and looks at me strangely when I say he's having some milk!.....as if you get milk from there mummy surely it comes in a bottle from Tesco's like mine does????
My husband is of course being the proud father and taking his share of the work load amazingly he is being quiet helpful! Must be something in the water!
So apart from sore breasts and no sleep we are a new happy little family ready to face all the new challenges that life can throw at us... like how do you get a double buggy through a gap that big??? or how much stuff do we need to take for a weekend visit to my mothers???
oh well the challenge will no doubt be filled with ups & downs but I wouldnt change my life for one minuet!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
This is just to annoy my hubby he didn't think I'd really put him on the net!!!
Christmas was fab hope yours was too! Plus I made it through 2005 without anyone dying! yeah! unless you count my cat getting run over???
Well only 4 weeks to go til my little Mr little arrives although it could be sooner or hopefully not later!
Faith has started potty training, my washer is in overdrive, but she is doing well! Also would like to ask why kids shoes are so flippin expensive???? They are half the size, meant to be VAT free but cost twice as much!!!! Brought Faith a new pair as her feet have grown nearly died when the woman said £26!!! mine only cost £8 in the sale!!! oh well its only money.
We had snow over Christmas it was fun! Although I now know how rudolph feels pulling a sleigh! Minus the red nose!
Had my friend from Oz to stay.... well actually she was born in this country but chose to abandon it for the heat of Oz.... we had fun although she complained about the ice and cold and MUD!! in Oz there is no mud apparantly?? Correct me if shes wrong please!
Well Happy New Year hope 2006 is exciting for you, I celebrated by going to bed at 9pm and sleeping it was best nights sleep for ages, apart from fireworks at 12. I didn't mind them so much they were fun. I must be getting old! My husbands comment to start the year off was "Oh great I'm gonna be 30 this year, with 2 kids and a mortgage! I feel old!"
BLESS HIM!

The night it all began!

This is us, in oct 2003 what seem like so long ago, just some distant memories, in a pub called the King John in Hartlepool. It was a special night in more than one way, not only was it Paula's birthday but its the night that changed my life forever, although I didn't know that at the time, until a few weeks later when I peed on a stick and it went blue!

Then 27months later I took this picture!

The most wonderful thing that ever happened to me! Which God willing I am about to embark on again only this time it will be a new life, a new journey, my son.
Its amazing how this little thing can change you so much and until you have one of your own you can never imagine how much you can love one. I am a Nanny by profession and have loved the kids I have worked with, but nothing prepared me for the total shock having my own would bring. Its amazing how you can love someone that is so much hard work. Sleepless nights, endless nappies, sore breasts, labour! and everything else that goes with being a mum. Of course my favourite bit is all the snotty noses!
I am completely smitten and I don't care who knows it, my daughter is wonderful and I will love her forever.
This Christmas she should understand most of whats going on, so providing I don't go into labour early, this should be my best Christmas ever. Even though my Dad and my Nan wont be here to share it, I know that they live on through me, in my memories of them, and the silly things I say.(that they used to say) So Faith will know them and that puts a smile on my face.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! I wish you all peace and happiness.
God Bless

THE REAL CHRISTMAS!

I love this time of year but often I find the true meaning gets left behind, apart from your local school navity play, the name Jesus is never really mentioned these days.
I've been teaching my little girl about the first christmas and the more we read the stories and the more we sing songs, the more disheartned I become.
I find myself asking what is christmas really all about....
the answer I keep coming back to is EASTER!!

Strange I hear you say.... but that surely is the reason the Son of God came to earth as a baby, to become the Saviour. To become the Saviour He had to die on a cross, then rise three days later.
So its not so strange that I find myself thinking about Easter at this time.

A friend asked me (or asked people on her blog) how do you know you have faith?
I'm afraid to say I can't answer that, because I just do. I cant explain it, its just something I have. I believe not because I've seen it, not because it makes my life easy (cause most of the time it doesn't), and not because its a warm furry feeling you get on a sunday morning but I believe because God opened my eyes and until He opens yours I strongly believe you will never truly understand what real faith is.
I say that not to get peoples backs up, but from my heart.
So I ask that you stop in the hussle and bussle of christmas to spare a thought for the real reason for this season, and if you want real faith, to ask God to open your eyes, I know He will.

This is a girl after my own heart! Not so long ago a friend of mine showed me a picture very similar to this of this little lady's mother with her hands in a sweetie tin and sweets all over the floor.

And why not I hear you say it is Christmas??? well nearly!!

I got in trouble the other day off this same friend for putting my tree up in November. I know its slightly early but I love christmas always so full of happy memories for me.

Also the fact that in a few weeks time when most normal people will be putting up their trees and decking the halls, I will be house size and unable to move round my tree to decorate it and will defently not be allowed anywhere near step ladders!

At least its done and Faith loves it!

Bonus my hubby will have to take them all down or leave them up til after this little man is born! which should be Feb so extra long Christmas yeah! For those who know Stu they know if it was left up to him the dec's would still be up next christmas and possible the christmas to follow that! he he love him really.

My new friend is my brand new king size four poster bed! Its so comfy! and the duvet is soo much bigger! well a whole 6 inchs but that makes all the differance! My hubby says that its my christmas present but I agrue that he gets half ,well 3/4 of it, so should it not be a joint present??? Me thinks so!

Paula if you read this leave me nice comments even though I left you some nasty ones about your sad fixation with Mark "who the hell is he now" Owen!! he he
